Responsibilities and environment:
- Design, develop, and configure complex ServiceNow solutions to streamline and automate professional and managed service processes using ServiceNow CSM and SPM
- Consultation of the team in best practices about designing and implementing business processes in ServiceNow.
- Migration of the current managed service processes from ITSM to CSM and SPM into the new SoftwareOne Delivery Platform
- Creation of custom workflows, forms and automation to meet business needs, especially in managing and delivering of time&material and fix-price projects. Utilizing ServiceNow’s development tools and scripting capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, Business Owners and Product Owners to understand business processes and requirements to provides consultancy and technical solutions related to the ServiceNow platform
- Mentor team members
Tasks (daily, weekly, long term):
- Conduct a comprehensive analysis of current professional and managed service processes and identify areas for improvement or standardization.
- ServiceNow CSM and SPM configuration and customization
- Create custom workflows, forms, and automation to meet management and delivery needs of our Service business by utilizing ServiceNow’s development tools and scripting capabilities
- Integrate ServiceNow CSM and SPM with relevant systems, e.g. ERP, BI or CRM
- Create documentation for configurations, workflows, and integrations.
- Configure ServiceNow CSM and SPM according to industry best practices – make rather use of out-of-the-box capabilities instead of customizations.
- Ensures that the configurations or customizations meet the requirements by providing automated tests with the integrated Automated Testing Framework of ServiceNow
- Troubleshoot and debug technical issues as they arise during development and testing phases.
- Share knowledge about best practices in ServiceNow.
Outcome/Deliverables
Software Solution: A fully functional application that meets all specified requirements and
functionalities, configurations and customizations.
Documentation: Technical specifications, user guides, and any other relevant documentation
required for the understanding and maintenance of the software solution.
Testing Reports: Detailed reports on the testing and quality assurance activities conducted,
including any identified issues and their resolutions
Skillset and Certifications
- 6+ years of total industry experience with 4+ years’ experience as a ServiceNow Consultant with focus on CSM and SPM
- Configuration and Customization of industry standard processes based on the “out-of-box” capabilities of ServiceNow
- Proficiency in ServiceNow development, including JavaScript, HTML, CSS and APIs
- Experience in creating ServiceNow update sets, promoting and testing through multiple instances and deploying into production.
- Feel comfortable with planning and implementing automated tests in Service Now (ATF)
- Solid understanding of the application development lifecycle process in ServiceNow
